Mal Fleet and 9 Friends’ 185 Mile Bike Ride from Bath to Liverpool

Britannia Fleet Liverpool are proud to announce their latest sponsorship, a charity bike ride from Bath to Liverpool, raising money for the “Combat Stress” charity. The journey is due to commence on Thursday 20th June 2019 and hopefully completing on Saturday 22nd June 2019.

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for the mental health of veterans. Having helped former servicemen and women for a century, with mental health problems including anxiety, depression and PTSD. The work completed by this charity is nothing short of life-saving and they are completely unique, making this a great cause to support.

Mal Fleet, Managing Director of Britannia Fleet, is also taking part in the ride this year, along with supplying a support vehicle free of charge to carry any and all supplies for the third year running. Mal is not a seasoned cyclist and has been quoted to say the last bicycle he can remember riding was his own chopper when he was 13 years old and his “grandad’s racing bike with cow horn handlebars and tassels”, making this task even more grandiose.

Mal is joining 9 other gentlemen who are seasoned cyclists and have participated in this annual charity ride for many years for various good causes.

Any and all support you are able to give will be greatly appreciated and you can donate here: www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Ian-Cook9

We wish them all the very best of luck with their ride and look forward to seeing them all return home safely, even with a few sore legs and bums.
