Pre-move consultation

We start by assessing your removal requirements, if this is part of your house move then we factor the whole move logistics in, this includes access points and equipment required. As part of this we will also discuss whether your piano requires careful dismantling before moving.

To ensure we’re fully prepared for your move It’s important that we gather all the information for securely moving your piano. We understand that every move is individual, and requirements will vary but you can rest assured you’re in safe hands as we have seen it all from restricted access points to penthouse apartments. From the information gathered we’re then able to ensure that we are fully prepared with the required equipment and our knowledgeable and friendly team.

Packing and preparing

The packing and protection of your piano removal is crucial to ensure the safety and security of your piano during the move. During your pre-move consultation we will have discussed if we’re able to dismantle parts of the piano such as the legs. We have an extensive range of piano covers to help eliminate damage and can provide wall protection to protect the property during transit

Safe moving

Now that your piano is safely and securely packed, it’s ready for moving. This is the stage where our fully trained team with specialist equipment will begin the removal of your piano. Typically, a minimum of 2 members of our removals team are required for an upright piano and a minimum of 3 members of our team for grand pianos. Depending on the requirements and access levels this can be increased due to numbers of floors and any access restrictions.

We have specially designed vehicles with ramps and tail lifts, padded protection inside and access to cranes should they be required. All of our piano removals staff are trained to the latest BAR standards.

Storage

If you need more time during your house move or you are wanting to keep your piano safe, we also offer piano storage from as little as £8 per week.
