Secure Shredding in Liverpool, Accredited to BS EN 15713

BS EN 15713 is the standard that separates a shredding service from a man with a shredder. It covers how confidential material is collected, how it is held before destruction, who is allowed near it and what evidence you get afterwards. Britannia Fleet is accredited to it, works from the Knowsley site using current shredding equipment, and issues a certificate once destruction has taken place.

That matters because the obligation does not transfer. If you hand paperwork to a contractor who mishandles it, the data protection duty is still yours. The certificate is what closes that loop.

For small businesses

Space is usually the trigger. Financial records, personnel files and client paperwork accumulate faster than anyone plans for, and a small office runs out of room long before the retention periods expire. We can store the documents you still have to keep and destroy the ones you do not, so the decision is about retention rules rather than about how many boxes fit under the stairs.

For medium and larger businesses

Scheduled collections work better at volume than one-off clearances. A regular run means confidential waste never sits around waiting for someone to organise its disposal, which is where most breaches actually happen. Frequency is set to whatever your output justifies.

Shredding at your premises

For anything particularly sensitive, a team can come to you and destroy the material on site, so nothing leaves the building in a readable state. That suits handovers, office clearances, and any situation where a chain of custody off the premises is the thing you are trying to avoid.

For households

Domestic shredding is the part most people do not know they can buy. Bank statements, old tax paperwork, medical letters and anything with a full name and address on it pile up at home, and identity fraud runs on exactly that material. We collect from your house and take it straight to the depot for destruction.

If you would rather sort through it slowly, household storage gives you the time and you pass over the rest when you are ready.

During an office move

A relocation is the natural moment to deal with retained paper, because you are already handling all of it. Sorting, storing and shredding can run as part of the move rather than as a separate project, which is cheaper than moving files you were always going to destroy.

What happens to the material

Destroyed material is recycled. Confidential storage before destruction is available where documents have to be held for a set period first.
