How Your House Move Works, Step By Step
1. Get in touch and book a survey
Call us on 0151 482 0432 or fill in our online enquiry form. For most house moves we arrange a free survey, either in your home or by video, at a time that suits you. There is no obligation to book.
2. Receive your written quote
After the survey we send a clear, written quote covering crew, vehicles, packing and any storage you need, with no hidden extras.
3. Moving day
Our uniformed crew arrive on time, protect your home, wrap and load your belongings, transport them safely and place everything in the right rooms at the other end.
Your survey is carried out by John McCormick, our Move Surveyor, who is usually your first point of contact. John checks access, parking and timings at both properties along with any special requirements, so the team arrives fully prepared and there are no surprises on the day. Meet the team.
Meet the people handling your move
When you move with us you are dealing with people, not a call centre. Your enquiry and quote are looked after by our sales team, Derek Bardwa and Jordan Murphy. Derek has worked in removals since 1979, holds a National and International Road Transport CPC and stays close to industry best practice through the British Association of Removers. Day to day operations are run by Operations Director Mal Fleet Jr, a qualified Class 1 HGV driver and Transport Manager, who plans every job so it runs safely and on time. If you ever need to make a claim, our Office Manager Ashley Fleet, who has been with the business for 24 years, handles it personally.

What Affects The Cost of Your Move
Every move is different, so we price each one individually after a survey rather than quoting a one size fits all figure. The main things that affect the cost are:
The size of your home and the overall volume of furniture and boxes
The distance between your old and new address
Access at both ends, such as stairs, lifts, long carries or narrow streets
How much packing you would like us to do
Whether you need storage, for example if your dates do not line up
Any specialist items such as a piano, a safe or large appliances
The time of week and year, as Fridays and month ends are busier

Packing Options
Packing is a specialist skill, and how much you take on is up to you.
Full packing service. Our trained packers arrive before moving day, protect your floors, carpets, bannisters and doorways, then wrap and box everything, including individual furniture covers and portable wardrobes for clothes.
Part packing. We pack the awkward and fragile items, such as china, glass, pictures and electronics, and you handle the rest.
Self pack. If you prefer to pack yourself, we supply a full range of packing materials and boxes.
On arrival at your new home the same protection is applied, and everything is placed in the rooms you choose.
What Happens On Moving Day
Our crew arrive on time and in uniform. Before anything is moved they protect your home with covers on carpets, floors, radiators, bannisters and doors. Furniture is wrapped individually, loaded and secured for transit, then carried into the correct rooms at your new home. We aim to make the day feel calm and well organised, so you can focus on settling in.
